Dear All,

Thank you for joining us in celebrating one year of JOI! To quote Jack Kerouac: “The first sip [of tea] is joy, the second is gladness, the third is serenity, the fourth is madness, the fifth is ecstasy.” Well, everyone, this is our first sip of JOI, and we are so happy you attended our garden tea party.

This past year has been incredibly fruitful. I have had the privilege of meeting creatives from all over the world and discovering their inspiring work — from London to Copenhagen to right here in New York City. I feel immensely fortunate to share these stories with you.

A special thank you to Isabelle Seiler and Yuna Choe for your stunning performances and for sharing your talents with us, and to Blues Zhang, Brandon Leonard, and Joshua Jensen for your wonderful music. Thank you to Ethan Chan for beautifully capturing these moments.

It was an intimate, gorgeous night that I will cherish forever. I am deeply grateful for your unwavering support of me and my vision.
